What is your food philosophy?
My program is based on science and evidence for health and longevity. In my program, we focus on nutrient-dense whole plant-based foods. I help you understand which foods best support your body and mind. Nourishing your body with the best-quality food is the best investment you can make for your life, your future, and your happiness. Is this a diet?
No, it is not a diet, it is a lifestyle. Diets might work temporarily, but they are terrible for our health long term. No more calorie counting, macro counting, or obsessing over carbs. For those willing to open their minds and change their habits, lifelong excellent health is well within reach.
Why is nutritional quality so important?
Nutritional quality determines your mental, physical, and emotional health. Nutritional excellence is the most powerful way to discover permanent healthy weight loss and prevent and reverse disease.
What is the Standard American Diet (SAD)?
The Standard American Diet is generally characterized by high intakes of pre-packaged foods, refined grains, red meat, processed meat, high-sugar drinks, candy and sweets, fried foods, industrially produced animal products, butter, and other high-fat dairy products, eggs, potatoes, and high-fructose corn syrup, and low intakes of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, fish, nuts, and seeds. The top three sources of calories in the SAD today are - milk, soda, and margarine, with the combination of fat and refined sugar consisting of 65 percent of our caloric intake. SAD = Sick. The good news is that we don’t have to suffer from the chronic diseases that most Americans get. The power to live in great health is in our hands and on our plates.
Making the switch to a plant-based diet sounds intimidating, how do you help your clients get started?
I work with my clients in a high-touch capacity to help take the guesswork out of things. I focus on education, planning, and mindset work to set the foundation for success. As you learn more and eat this way, your taste buds will gradually realign themselves and become stronger. As you become healthier, you will lose your psychological dependence on unhealthy foods. I always make sure you have the tools needed for success as well as recipes that you will love!
What type of results can I expect?
My clients routinely lose up to 20 pounds during the first six weeks of changing their eating habits. And that’s just the beginning. Most importantly, they typically recover from diseases such as allergies, acne, headaches, reflux, high blood pressure, polycystic ovarian syndrome, and diabetes. They all started their journeys for different reasons, yet what they share in common is they are all now in excellent health.
