Cruciferous Champions
After becoming a certified nutrition coach, I’ve gained a wealth of knowledge on eating for health and longevity- not just for weight loss. As a mom who wants to live as long as possible in great health for my children, I’ve become fascinated by the science behind what we eat and the impact it can have on our bodies.
A groundbreaking study has revealed a powerful link between diet and cancer prevention, particularly for women. Researchers have found that Chinese women who included at least one serving of cruciferous vegetables in their daily diet slashed their risk of breast cancer by an astonishing 50%! 🤯(study cited below)
Cruciferous vegetables, like broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, and kale, are not only delicious but also packed with vitamins, minerals, and compounds that can help protect us from diseases. This study highlights the incredible impact that making simple dietary choices can have on our overall health and well-being.
Let’s make a pledge to incorporate more of these powerful veggies into our meals. Whether it’s a kale salad, roasted cauliflower, or stir-fried broccoli, every serving counts towards a healthier, cancer-resistant life. So, next time you’re meal planning, remember to load up on those cruciferous veggies!
